How to do it
- Hinge at the hips and pull the bar to your waist.
- Neutral back and soft knees; the bar travels close to your legs.
- Pull your elbows back and squeeze your shoulder blades at the top.
Common mistakes
- Rounding your back.
- Raising your torso on every rep to help.
- Pulling toward your chest with flared elbows.
