Assisted pull-up machine
Back · machine. Kneel on the pad, grab the handles and pull your chest up toward them.

Main muscle: Back
Also works: biceps · forearms
Equipment: machine
Typical: 3–4 sets of 6–12. For strength, 3–6 with solid form and long rests.
How to do it
- Kneel on the pad, grab the handles and pull your chest up toward them.
- More weight on the machine means more help: take it off little by little to progress.
- Lower until your arms are straight, under control, without dropping.
Common mistakes
- Using so much assistance that the pad lifts you on its own.
- Craning your neck to reach the handles.
- Swinging your body to get up.
