How to do it
- Extend your elbows at your sides without leaning into it.
- Elbows pinned to your ribs; only your forearm moves.
- Extend fully, pause and come up until your forearm is just past horizontal.
Common mistakes
- Flaring your elbows out.
- Leaning over the bar to push with your body.
- Coming up so high your elbows drift forward.
